Our Vision

For a long time before we were engaged and in the weeks following the proposal, the where and when of our eventual big day was a total mystery. We considered our sleepy surf town of Hermosa Beach, a destination wedding in Mexico, and even inviting everyone halfway around the world to Kiana’s grandparents’ home country - the Philippines.

But in all the questions and curiosities of getting married, there’s one thing we always knew we wanted – good quality, uninterrupted time with our people. Life can feel rushed and fleeting in our everyday lives, so if it’s up to us for just one perfect day, we’re pressing pause to be present with our closest friends and family. And we’ve found our dream venue to help make that a reality.

We’ve decided to do a buyout of Milk & Honey Ranch for a long weekend to accommodate as many of our special guests, for as much time together, as possible. The property encompasses 14 diverse rental units, a full service cafe and spa, a beach club with jet skis, kayaks, and standup paddle boards, hiking trails, beautiful scenery, a sand volleyball court, a multi-sport court for tennis and basketball, 400 farm animals, and much more.

While there are a limited number of on-site lodges, Burton and the immediate area have several rental homes, bnbs, and hotels for varying group sizes, budgets, and stay preferences. We’ve also partnered with Milk & Honey Ranch to allow for RVs and in-unit air mattresses for those who want to pack in! Daily ranch access for the weekend will be available to every wedding guest, whether you’re staying on or off property. Off-property guests will purchase a $150 ranch package for the weekend which includes the same grounds access, activities, and amenities that on-site guests receive each day. The wedding hosts will cover all scheduled meals throughout the weekend.

We’re so excited to share this time with those who can make it. For those who can’t be with us in person, life happens! We will set up a day-of livestream of the ceremony so we can be together.
